Hi aoktar.

Today I got my upgraded computer back and reinstalled everything. Also I am new to a 2018 license and I am wondering, why I can not activate my GTX970 and GTX780.

A: It is because I dont understand my license?
B: Was my PC hardware messed up in the PC store while upgrading and transitioning my system to a new case and new motherboard?
C: Does 2018 not support certain GPU architectures?

2018.1 only supports 2x GPUs if you have a subscription license.

I'm running the latest c4d version here with no issues. Maybe it's related to some other plugins in your system? Or perhaps you are using some combination of features I've not yet used. Hope you get it sorted out.

Yes. Maybe. I rolled back to R3 and I´m getting half the bugs> I´m currently working on a very heavy scene so it contributes a bit. I also PMed Aoktar to explaiin it.

I think deadlocks happen with R20.059, but fine with R20.057. I'm still investigating! It's frustrating!

I'm experiencing a lot of crashes connected to OpenGL previews of materials. As soon as i turn it off, it works perfectly. Also material preview generation quite often freezes C4d. If I turn that also off, no crashes at all.

Important warning
For OSX users with deadlock/hang issues, please try with OFF on "Synchronization on geometry updates" option. This was not required until 2018.1 for V4, but seems like Maxon done some revisions and it affects our stability.

Also for R20.059 Windows users,
I found that plugin is falling to issues which are similar deadlocks or crashes. So I've updated used C4D SDK to 20.055 and problem has been fixed. I'll make a quick release for this HOTFIX.

When I open Cinema 4D for second time or change a material in the scene I get an error with the 2018.1.1 R2. It does not let me work. I remove all the plugins and just keep Octane and the error still happening.

It doesn't happen with version 4.04
