you mean 2018.1.1 or 2018.1-R3?pixelstuff wrote:Hi
This release isn't working in OSX, it may be due to the latest version of Cuda not working on any version of octane given 719 and other errors.
This one works https://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cu ... river.html
2018 does work but is very unstable on anything above a few objects. V4 seems to be working great, but I have just upgraded and can't use the new 2018 version.
I have an egpu running a GTX 1080ti currently on 10.13.6 but also had the same issues on older updates of the OS.

It was the latest release for OSX, just checked and it was 2018.1-R3
This version of Cuda works but would be very unstable
Previous Releases:
CUDA 410.130 driver for MAC
Release Date: 09/19/2018
This lastest version doesn't work and gives 715 and 719 Cuda errors also didn't work with octane bench
CUDA Mac Driver
Latest Version: CUDA 418.105 driver for MAC
Release Date: 02/27/2019

Yes, you do. Had the same error...

Today I got my upgraded computer back and reinstalled everything. Also I am new to a 2018 license and I am wondering, why I can not activate my GTX970 and GTX780.
A: It is because I dont understand my license?
B: Was my PC hardware messed up in the PC store while upgrading and transitioning my system to a new case and new motherboard?
C: Does 2018 not support certain GPU architectures?
So many questions I am so confused...
Anyone any thoughts on this?
Hi aoktar!
I know you had issues with the R15 of the latest 2018.1 builds. I read through all the latest release posts and you mentioned to have found the problem and fixed it about 2 weeks ago.
Just downloades 2018.1.1 and gave it a try with C4D R15 on Win 7.1 with NVIDIA 417.35 and it still crashes on C4D startup. Same with 2018.1.R3
Currently using V4.01.1-R2, that has been most stablest of the last releases for me.
As I bought the 2 years enterprise subscription end of last year I am a bit worried now because I am not able to use 2018.1.
I know its finally time to update to R20, but I´d like to wait for their season special offer, mostly in August, to have the advantage of the Maxon Service Agreement (update to R21, if it is coming anytime soon).
Here are the details from the C4D Startup Crash Screen:

Might it be a NVIDIA driver problem? Any other thoughts?
What has the fix you found been related to?
Aoktar, I am with octane since the very first C4D octane beta 0.69B (haha, still have the files) and it has been a very exciting journey so far!
Thanks for all your patient and constant developing work!

Hi aoktar, aoktar wrote:@ChrisVis: Are you on OSX or windows version?
I am on Windows Version... Win 7 Ultimate, 64 bit SP1.
Do you need any other infos that might help?
The c4doctanelog.txt in the plugins directory is empty after the crash, so no infos there.
I´d really like to play around with the new vectron feature.
