Hi,
I get crash when I drop a something in the node editor. If I create a new project and don't touch anything in the octane rendering settings the node editor works, but if I copy paste the settings from the buggy project then it crash again, even if I reset the settings.
I've just tried the 2018.1 RC6 and no crash on this version.
Thanks!

If It's about a specific project, please try to send me with instructions on how to reproduce it!DKFT wrote:Hi,

Thanks for your fast answer,
I've attached the project because I don't know what causing that. It's weird because I had the same problem with a different project yesterday.
The problem appends when I copy paste my octane render setting (the settings in the liveviewer not C4D). I've managed to avoid the problem by creating a new project and putting back manually my render settings.
Thank you!

Thanks! Which version of C4D and OS? There's not any material, what do you drop to NE?DKFT wrote:Thanks for your fast answer,

Have you activated these log flags? Disable all and try again.

It's working if I disable all the log output options! If I enable that again the problem is back
I'm on Windows 10 1809 and C4D R20.059.
I removed all the materials to see if something would change, and reset the render options. I've attached a bug report from C4D and the original project.
Do you know why the log option crashes?
Thank you

There maybe a null pointer access or so! Keep them disabled if you don't need report any problems. Also please send me c4doctanelog.txt and bugreport.zip as soon as hit NE drop crash. I'll take a look.DKFT wrote:It's working if I disable all the log output options! If I enable that again the problem is back

Thank you so much for your time. You saved my day!
I've attached the c4doctanelog and made C4D crash on purpose so you can investigate that.

The spotlight is completely broke. How is it even possible to cast black light? Why is there a shadow in the centre? It is completely broken and useless.natemac00 wrote:In SpotLight - "Camera visibility" shouldn't that also control if the barndoors are visible, or how do you hide those?
Also why is there a shadow in the middle of the spotlight beam?
Why is it being advertised as a feature if it does not work? Spotlights are one of the reasons why I have just spend $800 on upgrading 4 licenses to AA. This is more unacceptable bulls**t behavior from OTOY. We are so close to getting rid of Octane and moving to Redshift.

Hi Aoktar,
Just to let you know that in the present c4d plugin the preset for osl camera projection script needs updating.
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=65575
The old preset script flips the screen space projection the wrong way. Pascal has fixed the this now and updated it in the link above.

I'm getting a hard crash (application just closes with no error) with this scene and others with any interaction in the node graph. Cannot use octane on my system currently.
