just some fun while doing clouds ldev.

some info:

Small clouds built in terragen assambled in Houdini.Central big cloud VDB model from the generous guys at Disney Animation Studio.All shaded and rendered in Octane

Miko, can you please tell us more details of this scene: max samples, depth, render time, shading and etc. Great result for octane!

I really like the cloud you render in houdini, but I don't know how to use Octane to render such a cloud in houdini. Would you please give me a cloud project that you rendered, I want to learn, thank you very much.

Wow can you do a tutorial; Im trying to do this fully in houdini but my clouds look black :oops:

I have attached a metal sphere to side for comparison; have tried adjusting various absoroption, scattering, densities etc... lighting

Something Im missing?

Did you enable Pathtracing kernel?
"Emulate old volume behavior" can also help (kernel settings)
