Ok heres another one.Just tried an experiment using the brushed metal from the live DB and mixed with a bump map created on my PC.Tried to go into the Brushed Metal node to adjust and got this.See attached. This has happened a few times now. Also worth noting that the mix shows to bump map but not the bump and brushed metal combined.Unless i am doing something wrong

CPU:-AMD 1055T 6 core, Motherboard:-Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 AM3+, Gigabyte GTX 460-1GB, RAM:-8GB Kingston hyper X Genesis DDR3 1600Mhz D/Ch, Hard Disk:-500GB samsung F3 , OS:-Win7 64bit
Could you please post a step by step example of your problem so we can reproduce it ?
Thanks

Sorry.Went back in and tried to recreate the same workflow situation again. However this time it's working fine.Materials mix ok and it does not bomb out now. Will keep an eye out if it happens again and post a result.

Check out noisy pixels problem I had with v4 http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... &start=110
(see the last post of that page)
I still got the problem (on one case of 1680x1052 render the wrong pixels were 1 row far to the top and 1 column far to the left)

Hah ! spoke too soon. Please see attached.
Workflow.
I imported a Cube from max and had added a bump map from my desktop.
Then i tried a few of the materials from the live DB and tried them on the mixer node along with my bump map.
Unlinked the one highlighted in the center and linked the one on the left to the mixer node.
Then went back to the unlinked central one and just right clicked to delete it and the error box came up.
Errr...hope that makes sense !
OOPs forgot the attachment

ALSO : Exported from blender and 3 specific objects of my scene use the same materials although in blender they used different materials... anyone else had that?

That does it....
I'm heading back to my Original Driver for my cards. I do not know if the newer CUDA app. will stay, but I've never had any luck ever, updating my NVIDIA Display Drivers and have been told by many that one really shouldn't need to. I don't know why this is included in the CUDA update anyway, but I can no longer take 'Laggy' apps on my work system.
My Acrobat no longer starts and trying to access the NVIDIA setting console only gives me:

Finally, got all the new driver junk cleared out an thing seem much better. But now I notice that when I want to see the stats on my other card in the account prefs (Device Information), as soon as I use the 'drop down' selection It crashes me out. I'm trying to attach the error reports to this message but the forum I guess doesn't allow .txt attachments. That is why I showed them 'inline' earlier. for this one I will see if .zip's are allowed. Here goes.....
