Hi, i m testing forester with some high poly trees with wind. I use multicloner for now instead of scatter (will try this later see differences).
Octane renders image very fast but takes quite a while to update each frame. It says "start rendering" and while the render itself takes 8 seconds, this process takes 20.
Is there a way to do this faster?

edit: Just testing scatter and doesnt use hyperwind of forest. Is it possible to support this? thanks

No!

Octane is not fastest renderer for processing/preparing geometry data for rendering.

Ok, so i have to use forester's multicloner when i have wind. Do u happen to know the disadvantages for using multicloner? eg. cannot support huge number of clones as scatter does? Cause these 2 seem similar approaches. thanks

Yes i know surely! Scatter object has been developed by me for speed. You can put animated objects under scatter but without time offset.

For anyone that's interested: I was able to get Forrester wind to work inside the Octane scatter object by caching the wind (under the hyperwind tab in forrester).

I just recently completed a project using forrestor and used alot of the wind simluation. Something that worked very well for was to bake out the simulations as alembic files and octane was able to load the geo extremely fast. I would wait until all the wind sims are locked down so you dont need to make any changes.

This worked well for me.

How did you deal with motion blur?
