I don't know if this is a bug or just me not getting something, most likely the later. :) I loaded up a simple scene into octane (a ball, cube, and a plane). I was playing around with the livedb textures and moving the node link from one to the next one. The node links change from a triangle to a circle when you do. So I added three textures to the scene and connected all three connections on the mesh node. The cube was rendering strangely so I thought that it was being smoothed so I went to change the setting and it wasn't there. Here is a screen shot and you can see that in the inspector there is no access to the default settings:

Are the settings removed when you connect and then disconnect a node link? It would be nice if there were some defaults or the original settings were remembered when you disconnect a link. Or am I missing something? Is there a way to get back the settings so I can change the smoothing?

Ok I just looked at the outliner and was able to get to the setting there, so I guess it would be nice to be able to do the same in the inspector. I did crash octane one time when I was moving the node links around. But I'm unable to reproduce it. All I remember is that the link disconnected from the output link and I think I just released the mouse button, then octane crashed and popped.

@grimm you need to double click on the material name in the graph editor, a new tab will open up with all the normal settings. (you will be able to uncheck smooth)

Hi Guys,

..what version of MAX2Octane are you using with 2.3 V5? I´m using the last one.. the f version of script.. I export my scene, can see all the exporting process, octane opens and.. nothing happens.. have no objects imported to octane... ..in fact it´s look like a new empty octane scene..

Thanks for attention..

@moronicjoker: could you please upload a zip file with the scene so we can have a look at it ?

@sublime: unfortunately we do have an issue to solve with the nvidia compiler under win32 and we don't really know how long it's going to take us to fix it. It's our first priority tho.
