I was rendering a scene with use of lensflares, so far all fine.
But adding the denoiser removes the flares.
Bug?
By the way when in IPR it works, but rendering via F9 is wrong. It renders with the flares but in the final second it is gone.

V4 - LW - Flares and denoising - BUG?

Hi,
You are talking about the postprocessing effects, right? Sorry, but I can't reproduce this problem here.
Be aware that the denoising doesn't work if you render by time (or if you abort+continue the rendering) if the "denoise on completion" option is enabled or if the rendering at that point has not reached the min denoiser samples and the max denoiser interval ... not sure if this limitation could be related to your problem.
Thanks,
-Juanjo

I have deleted all objects, NDA, now I have a sort of disk/ coin in front of the daylight sun, also a scattter medium here.
Please check! See attachment! It must be something I forgot or it is a bug.
Thanks man!

Thanks, I really need this for my project!juanjgon wrote:Ok. Yes, I think that somehow the denoiser can't process the post-processing effects that come from the background daylight. It seems some kind of Octane core issue. I'll ask about it to Octane core devs.
Thanks,

It seems that this problem has been fixed in Octane 4.01, included in the next plugin build that I'll try to release early next week. I'll try to send you an early custom build with this new Octane core as soon as I have it compiled.sjonsjine wrote: Thanks, I really need this for my project!
