Thank you! I've been surprises how easy It was to setup and to render! I expected more fireflies and artifacts in the glass, back lighted by three cylinder emiters.
Congrats Radiance!

into something? (2.69 with 10.22b)
v4 has pathtracing maxdepth default 8, v5 16. Check if this is the cause.
Correct! ok now with maxdepth set to 8 it raised the megasamples to 2.33 but I trust Radiance and his team about Octane being slower but more productive and with less fireflies though the new tool is really handy (Hotpixel plugin was not running on my Win 7 64).

Go to the front page of this website, log into the customer area, there you can deactivate the account and use it again on another computer (with one hour delay).

always non predictable crashes while connecting.
In all case, a just exported scene crashes all the time when I try to connect a node to the mesh.
After exporting, if I save the scene; new; open the saved file, the scene is stable again.
I experience this since early pre2.3

Have you. Tried installing the latest drivers from the nvidia maipage ?
Also, try to monitor your gnu temperature with a tool like evga precision
