I am a new octane user (V4).
I'm on a mac pro 2011, I use a card GTX Titan (12go). I use the c4d plugin. When I run a preview in the live viewer no worries. On the other hand, as soon as I start rendering in the viewer, it starts to calculate and after ten or so seconds, the mac goes out.
Which was not the case a few days ago. I am updated in my CUDA and NVIDIA drivers.
Thank you in advance for your assistance

What's "goes out"? Where is an example to reproduce this crash? Where's crash reports?
Octane For Cinema 4D developer / 3d generalist
3930k / 16gb / 780ti + 1070/1080 / psu 1600w / numerous hw
3930k / 16gb / 780ti + 1070/1080 / psu 1600w / numerous hw
So it's probably a system problem not software.shmums wrote:I misspelled when rendering the Mac suddenly turns off. I have no report bugs since the mac goes off

I had the same issue with octane crashing on my 2010 mac pro with 3 GP100's in a cubix Xpander box. Denoiser not only hard shut down my machine, but it also corrupted my cuda drivers so badly that no other version of octane worked and Nvidia couldn't get the drivers back u and running which forced me to have to restore my whole system from a backup. At this point, I have told my whole team as well as my neighboring post houses to NOT update to V4 if your on a Mac. The issues are too catastrophic to handle at the moment.
Thanks for your feedback!
I thought I was the only one to have encountered this problem ...
I did tests by calculating scenes done last year and no worries
On the other hand the mac goes almost all the time when I try to render scenes of a collaborator but on pc (same version of C4D and same version of octane v4)
it becomes really laborious during a prod ... apart from launching renderings on a renderfarm
