Octane materials not working on emitter

What are you rendering? Sphere particles or some other type of voxel? You should be able to put a material directly on the emitter or sphere or whatever object you're using as the particle

you need to put your sphere inside of the geometry box in the object tag. I've set it up for you in the fixed file attached. you dont need an object tag on the sphere itself either, btw.

ahhhh yes aoktar is right, you dont need to be under the emitter.
