Render queue vs picture viewer huge time difference

This is weird. Exact project renders at approximately 3 minutes in the picture viewer and just over 8 minutes in the render queue.

Tested it 3 times over, exact scene file.

R19, Octane v4, my workstation plus a render slave.

Any ideas?

Could you please capture console output from your tests and put here? So we can check times and invistigate.

Stripping the scene down made the timeframes match again. I will get you a copy of it once I can come up for air.

There's not a major difference between PV vs. RQ renders. They are processed very similar. Just check something slow down your pc or gpus while doing renders.
