Good morning,
I'm experiencing some trouble with the 3.08 in general, in particular, I tried R2 and R3.
I don't know if it's a bug or not but when I have a heavy file I have every time this error(attached).
with the same PC, same drivers same file etc etc etc, but using the 3.07 it works perfectly.
I tried to google it but I didn't find a solution to this.
Also:
sometimes happen that if I render some instances in the picture view they are rendered wrong, while in the live view they are correct( attached)?
basically in the live view I can see the glass of the cylinder but not in the picture view
do you know this problem by a chance?
In order also:
a. Windows 10
b. 980 ti (only for viewport), 1080ti FE, 1080ti EVGA
c. 32gb Ram
d. Driver 398.82 08/01/2018 (US format??)
e. not installed
f. octane c4d 3.08 R3
g.Cinema 4D R19
error CUDA 770 - an illigal memory access was encountered

Hi Enzo,
please, try with 3.08.3:
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=68503
Which Nvidia drivers have you installed?
If it is the latest one, please try with DDU:

and then install 391.35 drivers, they should be more stable with 3.08/4.
ciao Beppe

Cuda errors are related with Renderer core not plugin side. Renderer is nimbly depended to Cuda part from Nvida drivers. So It can be a bug in driver or octane core.enzo_87 wrote:Hi Beppe,
it's already the 3.08.3
I'm still strugling with this problem, it seems that is not possible to put the texture in the out of core system even if it is on
You should send us a scene which produce errors. So we can investigate that!
