denoised beauty render pass dont work with render region in Standalone?
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=68833&start=30#p346432
and
in render Viewport/LV with render region dont stop calculation sample value in scene?
how to set the limit in the settings?
UPD: i found topic viewtopic.php?f=30&t=56028
but
make in the settings for the user the checkbox limit maxspp now always GPU load 100%
thanks
in RS/Cycles4d works fine (limit clculation)

Yeah but surely this is a temporary bug, right? i mean this is a HUGE deal for motion designers...Octane can not render splines natively, and we need to use hair. and now lack of emission on hair is nothing short of a disaster. any comment from devs please?

please can you fix this ASAP, because the lightwave plugin's last version which i need to use right now is XP4. this version appears no to be not supported anymore - i am getting an activation error right now. or at least make this build please usable again until this networking issue is fixed. XB4 was very usable in production so i am relying on it in a few projects here...3dworks wrote:i made a further experiment with the crash issue when RC4 is networked. if i disable networking inside the octane app and start the app with a networked machine running a slave, i will have no crash. when i enable networking on the local workstation, as soon as i select the node with the checkbox, and it tries tho authenticate, the app crashes. see screenshot before the crash.

Thank you for the report. Yes, emission of hair should work if "surface brightness" is enabled, but it doesn't which we will fix with the next release.Studio21 wrote:Emission from hair broken in this release? cant get it to work (using C4D, 'Render as hair' option in the octane tag)

Beppe reported the same problem initially, but couldn't reproduce it on the next day. I could never reproduce the issue on our Mac computers. Because of that we really can't fix the problem. We are trying to get RC 5 out as soon as we have sorted out a couple more issues - hopefully tomorrow. Please test that version again and let me know if it doesn't work, in which case we will have to do a separate bug hunt session.3dworks wrote:i made a further experiment with the crash issue when RC4 is networked. if i disable networking inside the octane app and start the app with a networked machine running a slave, i will have no crash. when i enable networking on the local workstation, as soon as i select the node with the checkbox, and it tries tho authenticate, the app crashes. see screenshot before the crash.

Interactive render region will render up to 1 million or until stopped. For this specific reason, we have an option to denoise periodically. Disable denoise on completion option and set the desired interval to denoise periodically.VVG wrote:denoised beauty render pass dont work with render region in Standalone?

Ok, I was able to reproduce the issue and I think it's now fixed. If we don't get the next release out of the door tomorrow I will make another small hotfix update of RC4 tomorrow.abstrax wrote:Beppe reported the same problem initially, but couldn't reproduce it on the next day.
