Hello Haze,
can you put octane plugin 4 XBR 2.1 for cinema back to work?
it's not activating anymore and we're in the middle of a render.
the XBR 3 is not so stable for some reason.
Thanks in advance, this would be much appreciated.
Best
Conrad

Yeah luckily I don’t need to render right now, but it makes cinema unusable for anything else with constant error messages popping up. Please reactivate!

Hi fatrobotsneedlove, and fgreatstudio,
please, post your issue with c4doctane v4XB-R1 in the c4doctane discussion:

Possibly with screenshots and example scene to reproduce the issue, thanks.
ciao Beppe

I made a very simple animation in blender. I've exported the file in orbx format. Octane 4, while rendering in batch mode, trims a piece of model geometry.
For comparison, I put the same frame rendered in Octane 4 and Octane 3.
This happens only in batch mode. When a single, static frame is rendered, everything is ok.
By the way: Octane 3 is a bit faster
colors are also slightly different
Because the file is very small, I attach it.

We have to get to V4 RC1 quickly - but this isn't forgotten. Inside V4, we have a full FBX exporter (which we also can use to export to gltf 2.0 - once the latter works). We'll expose some scripts and possibly ship them as built in nodes when V4 RC1 is out.FrankPooleFloating wrote:Mr. Goldorak, sir, how are things going with glTF 2.0 I/O?.. I'm practically climbing the dang walls, waiting to be able to export baked stuff from Octane, and pop them right into three.js.. without needing to put Blender between LightWave and three.js...
Will the Octane glTF 2 exporter be able to embed textures?
And, is it even remotely possible that you guys could toss in an Enable Precision feature in this bad-boy?.. Here is the thing, and this doesn't get nearly enough press, from what I can tell: I have worked extensively in three.js and export my crap from Blender, and the three.js exporter for Blender has this kick-ass feature, which allows you to knock down from default of 6 decimal places down to 5, 4, 3 (works great for most things, which almost halves the file sizes of meshes!), and sometimes even 2 decimals is sufficient. There has to be a way that you dudes could toss in a function to truncate floats during export... Right?.. Please at least look into it. I think it would be a feature that many of us serious WebGL folk would use the hell out of.
Hey guys I spotted a bug. I am re-rendering a file from a one-year-old project and I get a different result than the one I had before. Basically my camera goes through an area light. The light is not visible to camera, nor to shadows and the general visibility (for keeping it safe) is also at 0. I have all render objects on layer 5, the render layer enable is on, normal mode, black shadows on, colored shadows on , no reflections. I'm on C4d r19 latest build, on osx sierra.
by the way, the new improvements like ai denoise are amazing!!!
cheers!

Hi Where is this option "save the denoised beauty instead of the main beauty pass" in cotane 4 XB3? I looked everywhere ThanksNotiusweb wrote:No...Ugh!vijay_thirukonda wrote:Did you enable "save the denoised beauty instead of the main beauty pass" checkbox? Just tested it, seems working as expected.Notiusweb wrote:I just exported a 720 frame sequence through Batch Render with Denoiser on, and as the process ran each frame appeared in the viewport as being denoised.
But here is the beautiful part - the saved images were not denoised at all.
Full noise.

It's right there....I guess in the case of the Batch-Render script, it needs that separate instruction...

Hi coilbook,
run the Batch rendering script, the option is in the panel settings of the script: ciao Beppe

Hi coilbook,
this is the Standalone/SDK section of the forum.
Please, ask about 3ds Max specific options in the proper Otoy forum section, thanks:
