Hi,
so far this release is making me pretty happy.
Thanks for the enum properties, makes life much easier. Could you do this also for the fallof node?
Hiding Objects via the Blender Layer System now reduces geometry / shader compilation time. Thank you so much!!!
The Checkbox state of the HDR-Tonemapping in the Octane Imager Settings from previous Blender Versions isn't working.
Thanks for bringing back the preview imager settings. Thanks for the global override. Currently when enabling the scene gets
recompiled. Is this necessary?
Probably renaming transmission color of the specular material breaks nodes attached to the socket from previous versions.
I have some problems with "affect alpha" of the specular material. It was working in 3.07 and is working in the standalone Version 3.08.
In Version 15.2.4 it will give only correct results after unchecking and checking the option again. But when start rendering again it will give wrong results again.
affect alpha - wrong
affect alpha - correct (after unchecking and checking again "affect alpha")
Thanks for the support.

Hi,
at least the enum properties of the projection nodes are in the wrong order.
Former Value 2 (ies light) is now opened as world space. Which breaks backward compatability.
What's even worse when in rendering mode, the properties will switch (world space in object mode is ies light in render mode).
Just opening the Color Picker and closing it without changing values will retrigger rendering the scene.
Wasn't the case in 3.07 Versions.

Hi aufwind,
Thanks for your reports. I am looking into these issues.

Thanks for your reports. I am looking into these issues.
The projection mode is working on my end. Could you please give a bit more about it(your old octane blender version, how to reproduce) Thanks.aufwind wrote:Hi,

attached a Scene with a simple ies light. It has been created in the 3.07 14.0 Blender Plugin Version.
The XYZ Projection is set to Coordinate Space 2, which will open in Standalone 3.07 and 3.08 as supposed to "ies light".
When opening the Blend File in Version 15.2.4 it will show and render wrongly in "World Coordinate".
The reported switching issue happens in another scene which i can't upload.
The Scene was created in Blender Plug-In Versions from probably 2.78 - 2.79.
When opening all the IES-Projections are (as reported above) wrong. I manually changed the projection in object Mode to IES. See below. When hitting Render the changed Projection will flip back to the wrong World Coordinates!?
Please don't forget to have a look at the reported bugs from my first post.
Thanks, Aufwind

Regarding the "alpha affect", I cannot reproduce it as well. Could you please give a bit more details? Thanks.

here a Demo Scene. Hit Preview Render. Alpha will be wrong as reported. Changing any Value (back and forth) in the Material Shader
will retrigger the Scene and give the expected results. After exiting Render and start Rendering again the wrong alpha output is back.
Please fix the disconnected node issue of the specular material Transmission Color Pin from older files.
Thanks, Aufwind
