i opened a scene from 3.08 in v4 and apparently the cached alembic xparticles are not animating.
they only render in the state of the first frame.

- the xparticles have a octane object tag.
- check geometry is set to enable and all movable.

is there some problem with the v4 or am i missing something?

thanks,

i have this manual open all the time. the geometry is baked and cached as alembic with the objecttag set to force updates enabled.
still not moving in when rendering the sequence, stays the same as in the first frame.

i will report back again.

and now they are rendering properly.
i swear, sometimes they do, sometimes not. if i start rendering at frame 800, then no updating. if i go from beginning, than its ok.
