So people are knowingly paying for a plugin that is known not to render....

Sorry again for the inconvenience !!

This is more of OSx not wanting to return Octane's callback request. We would get this issue fixed as soon as possible on our latest build.
Please find the video showing the workflow to export into ORBX and Batch render using Octane Standalone. Hope this help.

Will this be compatible with Maya 2018.3, which just dropped?

This issue has been resolved in our new refactored beta version here [ viewtopic.php?f=109&t=67493 ].

Please feel free to test but it is yet to be ready for production and let us know your feedback.
