Scatter doesn't work with spline tool

Hello, i updated my Cinema 4d. Now im using the latest version. But when im using "scatter", spline tool doesn't work.
ps. My version is Cinema 4d R15

Did scatter ever work with a spline? The entry under Distribution is specifically called, "Surface."

One simple way to do it would be to sweep a small triangle n-side spline down your primary spline, then use the resulting surface for the distribution surface.
