Hi,

I'm having an issue with my macbook pro 2014-mid with OSX HighSierra v10.13

After I successfully install the octane standalone and octane for c4d. Every time I click the button of octane in c4d, C4d will crash.

My CUDA driver, C4D and octane are all the latest version.

I keep receiving a C4D Application Error:
More information can be found in
'/Users/zenac/Library/Preferences/MAXON/Cinema 4D R19_3BD53E9D/_bugreports/_BugReport.txt'.

After clicking 'OK' unsaved scene files will be saved as '_bugreports/_recovery_xxx.c4d'

How could I solve this problem?

Thank you.

Does crush means that crash?
First pls be sure that standalone is working well and rendering somethings.

ye, crash. lol

The standalone shows "no cuda gpus''.

My laptop is the macbook pro 2014-mid with a GT750M. And the CUDA driver version is 387.178.

And maybe one and half years ago, I tried the octane beta on this computer. And it works ok.

Is this problem related to the MacOS version?

thank you!

You need Cuda9.1 or later for 3.08.

It still can't detect the Cuda GPU after I install the cuda toolkit 9.1

hey aoktar,

I change the default gpu driver to NVIDIA wed driver. And now the oc standalone could detect the CUDA gpu.

But the available gpu memory is 0. The render viewport shows nothing.

Hi zenacc,
have you installed also the RedShift plugin?
If yes, you need to uninstall it or it will eat all your VRAM.

Same problem here. macOS 10.13.6, latest Nvidia Driver and CUDA drivers installed. Standalone version 3.08 works fine and eGPU detected. Followed the C4d plugin installing guide. But still showing up the Application Error every time I opened C4d.

SOLVED. Just don't forget to install the CUDA toolkit (latest version).
