I tried because it was there? Probably when I was trying to install it initially a while ago, which likely was what was causing problems earlier.
Well, I started totally fresh, formatted windows, and reinstalled cinema 4d R19 (twice, once even fresh trial straight from maxon installer page and updated the install to latest) and still no luck. It is in the correct folder now, but only half loads... (like in the screen shots)
Octane no longer works and wont upgrade

Have you installed under to Cinema4D/plugins/c4doctane directory? Be sure there's not another installation of octane like as you do in "C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R18_62A5E681\plugins\c4doctane"wutronic wrote:I tried because it was there? yeah, like I mentioned, I literally formatted my entire computer to start from absolute zero, even installed the installer straight from Maxon's webpage to make sure I didn't have some weird older version.
Did a search of the Files to make sure they didn't make it back somewhere weird, but the "Roaming" directory was from my last attempt. I have since formatted and started completely over. I am however on windows 10 now, that is the only difference.
I have installed and updated all my drivers to make sure they are current and Cinema is also updated as well as latest version of Octane from the website, I even tried a version that was older, had the same problem where it half loads.
Is there a folder or file that logs the errors that I can get some more info on what might be happening? It is clearly trying to load, but doesn't seem to get all the way.
