Octane materials don't display textures in the viewport. This makes it very difficult to get texture mapping work done.

This seems to be related to having an Octane Daylight in the scene, and using 'illuminate with scene lights' in the viewport settings.

Hi Paulforgy,
I do not know if I have understood correctly, but it will work correctly using "show shaded material in viewport" as a screenshot.

Did you try it with 'Illuminate with Scene Lights'? In the image below, that's the only setting that has changed. It also happens to be the default setting for the 'High Quality' viewport setting. 'Standard Quality' viewport setting doesn't even render the sphere at all. There are serious issues with Octane materials and Octane lights(Daylight at least) in the viewport.

Hi Paulforgy,,
I honestly can not say why, because I always work with Octane render active viewport.
I will report this to developers to get an answer to your question.

Thank you. The Octane viewport is great for a number of things, but modeling and editing texture UV's aren't one of them. Need the viewport to work correctly for those.
