Hello.
I just installed after effects plugin in after effects cc 2018.
I see I can use primitives, .obj, or orbx files in object1 and object2.
I tried with a cube on a floor directly in after effects octane tab, and animate it : it works.
How could I change material? I click on material/1/2/3 but don't see any color picker.
If I try lo load a obj, or a orbx file (exported with DAZ VR plugin) I can't see anything (but no error message).
What happened? Is is a scale issue ?(I tried to enlarge scale, but it's limited to 20%), and I don't see where export scale could be set in DAZ octane plugin.
Could you explain to me how to import my 3D files?
How could I point my camera to my objects?
Thank you very much for your help...
Import an orbx file or OBJ in after effects

You should open octane editor window to edit orbx files. It will save the changes when close the window.
Plugin will search a render target or geometry output to connect and use the content. You cannot see any geometry if they are not connected to those.

Ok, thank you very much, it works, I see my character in after effects : amazing!
I still have problems with camera : i don't succeed to use my octane camera : I can move and rotate my 3D character, but not my camera.
Do I have to create a new camera in after effects? I tried but my character appears very small in the scene, and if I zoom, it looks grainy and blurry.
Any Idea?

No sorry! You should edit in Octane Editor or standalone.Bashan wrote:Thank you for your help, now it works...
Can I edit textures and material in after effects? I see "materiel 1", but no way to work with it...

Too bad, but I know we are in alpha .
Now I try to import a animated scene in after effects :
1 tried to export from DAZ in orbx : no animation.
2 tried to export in alembic format, then to import in after effects : cant see my file.
3 tried to export in alembic, then open in standalone, then convert to ocs : no able to import ocs in after effects .
4 tried to export in alembic, then open in standalone, then export the package as orbx, then import in after effects : i cant see any animation...
How may I export an animated file from DAZ 3D to after effects? Would it be easier with poser plugin?
Thank you for your help
