Hi,

When I try to use smoke volumes in Blender I can't select OpenVDB as the cache format type as it's missing from the menu. I double checked in version 2.79 and it was there, so I'm assuming that it was removed for some reason in the new 13.1 plugin. Volumes don't work if you can't use OpenVDB. :( Thanks,

Jason

You need to save the .blend file first to enable OpenVDB cache. This has nothing to do with Octane plugin.

This was with a saved blend file, it was one I had created before. When the file is loaded the cache format is blank. I even tried with a new scene and the only option is the point cache, no OpenVDB option.

I suspect that they forgot to include the OpenVDB lib with the Linux version of the plugin?

Hi,

I will confirm within the Linux build, and see what differences in the deployment needed to be accounted for. Apologies for the inconvenience.
