That should not interfere with the working of Octane for Unity.amathews9518 wrote:I get this error when starting Unity.

I am going to take a look at it though. Thank you for the report.

Having a slow internet/low bandwidth is not necessarily the cause of the timeout. Connection loss is more likely. Using a vpn might also cause the issue.xCyborg wrote:I can't download Octane ver 1.1 (Download timeout. No data received for the past 20 seconds). I have connection but kinda slow, please fix or provide full installer installation-wide, thanks.
Ill check if we can add a re-connect when the timeout happens.
I just downgraded the freshly installed Unity 2017.3 to 2017.2.1 to try this after some dll-errors, but now I get the above error stating that I have no valid license. Should that still happen? It was advertised that I am able to use and test for free.limeforce wrote:Hi guys, so an OctaneVR subscription is required to test the alpha? No dice with a purchased standalone license?
Edit: I have read the docs on unity.octane.com but no real help there. If I try to login with the Octane account the above happens. If I try to login with my Unity account nothing happens and I get the following error message in the console:
Code: Select all
Failed: System.InvalidOperationException: Unexpected response from server.
UnityEngine.Debug:LogError(Object)
Edit: You have to do a lot better to expect me to pay money for this ...
