Since a few weeks I have the problem that LiveDB in the Misc section has the thumbnails and description out of sync with the actual materal.
This does not happen with the standalone version.
Is there a way to reset the liveDB list so it gets back in sync again - i think that at some point one of the uploaded material names caused the problem (there were at some point a lot of empty names and names with lots dialectics in them)
Anyone else experiencing this problem too? (only Misc is doing it for me, the rest is OK)

Haven't been there (LiveDB) for a while now (I find this thing not very ermm "user friendly" and very well unorganized ... has nothing to do with the plug in of course)

But yes, just tested it in Poser and it's the same for me, too.
The selected material does not show the corresponding thumbnail.

And what is that, at the "Attic" path? All in says in there is "node graph" on all material, is this by intention? :?: hehe ....

Otoy really needs to overhaul this whole thing :!:

yes, an overhaul would be nice to get it better organized

The standalone does not seem to have this problem, so I think it is a parsing problem when the list is retrieved by the plugin.

I would love to see material sets like cotton, linnen, satin, painted wood and metal, pebbles and lots of other real world materials. I have seen those in packages for C4d with Octane, but not for the standalone (or poser).

Wim - is this problem still happening with version 3.7.0.84 of the plugin? Can you give me a specific material which is out of sync?

Thanks

Yes, it is in 3.07.84 as well.
It only happens in the Misc section of LiveDB (I think to all of them, but I am not sure since the descriptions and thumbnails often are unclear of what it is supposed to be)
But very clear examples are: Car Paint Blue, Orange and Green. Hover over them and look at the thumbnail and description. If you hover over the orange one, it will show the green thumbnail. If you double click the green one (the one which shows in the thumbnail is loaded).

This started to happen some time ago (could be even more than 6 weeks. I let it go cause I thought that it was a sync problem in liveDB itself, but i realize now that the stand alone does not have this problem)
