Hi All,

I've been reading about how to try and avoid the good old splitting apart at the seams problem with Octane 3.0 for C4D. I've unwrapped the building, but the problem persists.

Changing the phone angle makes no difference. Is this a shortcoming (probably) of my unwrapping skills, or of octane? I love Octane, but I find it hard to believe we're at V3 and something this basic and heavily used by many many people remains as a problem. Sorry - just been a frustrating day.

The issue was coused by an incorrect setting of the Mid level, that in general need to be set to 0,5. In this way, the 50% gray is 0, black goes inside, while black outside.
Removing the Angle limit option in the Phong tag, resolves completely the issue:
displacement issue
displacement issue
with Mid Level at 0.5
with Mid Level at 0.5
with Angle limit disabled
with Angle limit disabled

Mine too. It would be cool if this kind of stuff was in the manual...
