Does Octane C4D work with UDIMs or multi tile? I did notice ID number under Mesh UV projection so I'm hopeful.
I've posted before about creating and texturing varied landscapes and researched UDIMs, I just wanted to know the proper workflow with Octane before I go jumping in. ATM if I want to blend a road with a landscape I'd have to do it all exterally as to use only one displacement, frustrating trying to get a workflow down.
Working with UDIMs or multi-tile UVS

You can work with UDIM workflows in C4D and Octane using 4D Publish: https://www.4dpublish.com/udim-support
It also has direct support for updating textures directly in the Octane Live viewer when painting using the new Paint Brushes...

Although there is no video demonstrating the Octane Painting solution, one will be coming soon.

Thanks for the reply. This looks very promising! Very pricey though..kbar wrote:You can work with UDIM workflows in C4D and Octane using 4D Publish: https://www.4dpublish.com/udim-support

I think in that video found on this page (https://www.4dpublish.com/udim-support) shows support for Octane where instructor states 'the answer is yes this works in Octane', but doesn't use the Octanes image texture node which means it isn't really showcasing compatibility with Octane it's just rendering standard C4D material. The guy in the video is only using color channel which is why it works with a standard Cinema 4D material applied to the model, how would this work with bump, normal, displacement etc..

The video is demonstrating that you can bring a model into C4D with its UVs in UDIM space (0-1, 1-2, 2-3 etc...). This plugin will then create a new material for each UDIM and automatically hook up all the textures on disk that you have for each UDIM to the appropriate channel in C4D. You can then also view the model in Octane, which already correctly handles the UVs. This plugin currently only sets up Standard C4D materials. Octane Materials will be added in future or sooner if there is more demand for it.mikeadamwood wrote: I think in that video found on this page (https://www.4dpublish.com/udim-support) shows support for Octane where instructor states 'the answer is yes this works in Octane', but doesn't use the Octanes image texture node which means it isn't really showcasing compatibility with Octane it's just rendering standard C4D material.
