Hello.

Probably a simple question, but I'm just starting out.

How can I connect an OBJECT to a Placement node, but then add it to an Object Layer Map (OLM) node so that I can add an Object Layer node input too?

A direct Object connection to OLM works fine, but if I have a placement mode (modifying objects scale), the OLM loses ability to have an Object Layer node plugged in.

This means my object cannot have a Render Layer ID assigned (via an Object Layer node - as other elements in the scene have assigned)

Case in point, the floor.obj has a placement modifier, but it that is now unattached / cannot be connected to the geometry group

Thanks, Huw

Hi Huw,
you need to connect the Object Layer Map node in between the mesh node and the Placement node:
