it the time delay wouldn't apply if you try to re-register the same host.

I think that for people who have two workstations at the same location, linked to the web, one hour is really too much if they have to switch from a machine to the other because Octane doesn't starts or crashes on the first machine. I understand that they can't even do trials in good conditions with this one hour waiting constraint.

I don't speak for myself, because anyway I have only one workstation able to run Octane.

well, it's still better than before when the had to purchases two licenses innit ?

1- We are in a beta phase, so in full production we'll be in a different situation since you shouldn't have to switch because of crashes
2- If they need to switch often because of their workflow, they always have the possibility to buy an additional licenses & get a new OctaneLive account.

It's only better if customers can make use of the feature. IMO, having to wait an hour in this day of instant everything is way too long.

We won't do web based automated unlocking. That would make it too easy to run simultaneous copies. remember before you couldn't run your copy on more than one computer so it's already better than before. Maybe we could do an option to unregister automatically the license when quitting the app, we'll invastigate that path.

Maybe Octane could just deal with license before loading anything else, so version stability won't affect licensing?
Something like a info box with "Ok" and "Menu" buttons, that are not shown when launched from command line (some 3d app plug-in initialized)
