Image Texture loading/freeze

Hey guys,
since 2 days I have a problem with my Cinema 4D r18 and Octane.
I have a clean Scene and put a Octane Material in. While adding a Image Texture Node, Cinema freezes for like 15 sec.
This happens all the Time

What i tried for now is,
Upgrading Octane from 3.04.5 to 3.05
Downgrading to 3.03
Reinstalling all standalone versions.
reinstalling Cinema 4D R18

The weird thing is that everything works fine with C4D r17

I hope you guys can help me out!

we are at version 3.06 now:

About the freeze, do you have any special path in the c4d texture preferences, like network paths?

Hey i will try the latest version out now. The weird thing is that i worked already quite long with the 3.04 with no problems.
Its just the texture Node no Texture inside or pathes.

you are genius!!! I had there a path going to the server. So when i added just a image texture it already started looking there!!
