How to make ID works in Octane?

I try to assign ID to different objects in the scene but I allways obtain the same multicolor image whatever I do (using Max 2014).

I tried assigning different object IDs or different Material IDs.
And I tried rendering with info channel or with render elements.

Allways obtaining the same multicolor image...what am I missing??

Hi Fabrice,
Octane redner automatically assigns colors for iDs.
If you want to customize the colors you have to use Object layer color.

but my problem is that Octane doesn't seem to take object ID assignement into account.
(but material ID seems to work).
As in the enclosed scene, objects with same object IDs render with different colors...

PS : and btw what is the "render layer ID" pass?

Hi Fabrice,
Object layer Id randomly assigns an object color, something like a VRayWireColor.
If you want to assign a precise color you have to use Object layer color.

Sorry I really dont understand how to use the ID...
Here are the 2 pass of a scene.
All objects on the left (including text) have the same Material ID
All objects on the right (including text) have the same object ID

As you can see the rendered pass are not logical :
same ID should be the same colors...
That doesn't take (mat or object) IDs into account.

Hi Paride,
still struggling with IDs...

- Object ID pass still doesnt work (ie the scene I uploaded).
- What is "Object layer color" ? I cant find it neither in "render elements" nor in the "info channels"

Object layer color is in info passes, It's a new features implemented after 4.21 (that you are using).
