Hi Paul
I had to go back to a scene file done in version 801 which I have not run in awhile.
I installed the latest stable version of 3 for modo 801. (Modo801_3_5_3_116)
On start up I get this error
01_error.JPG
01_error.JPG (14.54 KiB) Viewed 2885 times
Then I get this error
02_octaneError.JPG
Then modo crashes.
Do you know whats going on?
Thanks
Keith

Ok I found the problem
Both the errors and the crash are caused by the "NPRKit v2"
I don't really need it in 801 so it's not a big deal for me.
I have all my plugins installed in custom directories for different versions of modo, so as to not conflict with other versions.
Seems the NPRKit v2 has always been problematic.
Paul let me know if you know of a solution to have both working.
Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith. I am not familiar with NPRKit and don't ownb a copy or have it installed. What does "On start up I get this error" mean? When you start Modo?

Hi Paul
Sorry I should of been more clear.
On starting modo 801 it immediately gives me the error " unknown command zmq... etc" then after you click the ok button you then get the octane error and when you click ok again modo crashes.
The NPRKit v2 is made by the foundry as a plug in (kit) for modo that is in your download account. It's for doing cell shaded and sketch type of image effects to the render output.

The errors and then the crash only happen in modo 801.
works fine in 901 and version 10 of modo.

Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith - may I suggest using Modo901/2 or Modo 10 then? The Octane plugin is supported for the latest 3 versions of Modo - which is Modo901/2, Modo10 and Modo11.

Hi Paul
Yes that is what I am doing went to 902 for that scene.
Just letting you know that there is a problem with 801 and octane if you have the MPRKit v2 installed and don't own 902 up ect.
Thanks
