Hi Paul,
please, take a look at these videos I made.

http://www.filedropper.com/colorbugwhite

As you can see the problem does not occur when you use white color.

Thanx for taking your time to watch these videos.

bye

Thanks - I can see the problem now. Can you pls tell me if the following pre-release of the next version of the plugin resolves the issue?

3.6.5.82 (pre-release) - SUBSCRIPTION VERSION
- Fixed a number of rounding errors which were leading to the color selection dialog to not functioning correctly

Thanks

Hi Paul and thanx,
now it's close to perfection.
However some times if I change the color and press ok, rgb doesn't match with the rgb on the tree material. But If I don't change the RGB color and press CANCEL, unespectedly HSB change.
Here is the video I made:

Hi Paul,
btw in this version, does new function "Collapse" work correctly? Or I have to wait for the VR version?
I ask you this because "Collapse" seems to work but to collapse all the tree I have to click on the first item of the material tree and then click on collapse...but it would be more useful and fast if collapse always work without to click on the tree.

Following is a pre-release of the SUBSCRIPTION version of the plugin which hopefully finally fixes all the color chooser dialog rounding errors, and also changes the Collapse button behavior.

3.6.5.82 pre-release SUBSCRIPTION VERSION
- Fixed a number of rounding errors which were leading to the color selection dialog to not functioning correctly
- Changed the Collapse button to always collapse the whole material regardless of which pin is selected

Hi Paul and thanks for your time.

I've tried this version but still something doesn't work properly.

1 - RGB values and HSB don't update or don't match
2 - Capital letters and lowercases don't update
3 - it isn't a bug but, IMO, it is better to collpase everything but not totally otherwise we have to click on [+] near the Name material to see the tree material

This is the video with all these issues

thanks a lot

1 - RGB values and HSB don't update or don't match
The color chooser converts the HSV color to the Octane node - and same RGB colors do not exist as whole numbers as an HSV. For example RGB 194/159/122 and 193/159/122 both equate to HSV 31/37/76. So because the color chooser converts the RGB to HSV and then back into the Octane node, some value combinations are not possible. I have tweaked the RGB to HSV conversion in the next release to be more accurate (removed a floating point rounding issue) which may help.
2 - Capital letters and lowercases don't update
This is a Rhino bug, which I have reported to McNeel at https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/bug-repo ... lled/43390.
3 - it isn't a bug but, IMO, it is better to collpase everything but not totally otherwise we have to click on [+] near the Name material to see the tree material
Yes, good idea. This is in the next release.
