I tried to use the wet map feature of x-particles.

Everything worked well when I rendered each frame in Live Viewer.

However, the vertex map did not respond in real time when rendered in the Picture Viewer.
(Only vertex maps from -40 frame to 0 frame have been applied, and no subsequent responses will appear.)

Is there any solutions? Or is there only a way to render each frame?

I could not checked yet. But it will not get updated i think. It's a new addon and maybe missing on some update detections. It updates when it gets an update message from texture or objects.

Vertexmap is not getting any changes for update flags. So it's not updated. How did you connected xp and vertexmap? Here is a trick to force updates. Animated one vertex of plane at very small amount. So it will be recreated on every frames.

Hello here we have the same problem:

I have used a Tension tag to create a Vertex map, and it works fine on a single frame but once I ask for animation rendering then Octane vertex node is not updated.

I've done an animation of one vertex to force Octane to update the vertex map but I do not get it.

Could you Aoktar please tell me if there is any way to force Octane to update the vertex map on each frame?

Thanks in advance

I can take a look if you could post a sample scene. I don't know every combinations.

Hi Aoktar,

Here is a sample test.

The Collision deformer may need calculate caché, And vertex map begins to notice around frame 20.

Thank you very much for your help.

I found a solution,

The Tension tag generates two vertex maps, one Stretch and the other called Folds. If I delete the Folds one then the Octane vertex node is updated, also if you change the tags order, first the Folds and second the Stretch then Octane vertex node is updated too.

Thank you all.

Nice info! I couldn't understand the scene and it's heavy to work/test on.

Hi,

That scene id based on In Life Thrill's tutorial
Cinema 4D Quick Tip #13 – Geoboil

I just used the built in Octane vertex node reader instead of “Topology Vertex Maps” by Paul Everett.

Thanks

Hi ya I managed to find a way to do it.

I add constraint tag and just basically animated its enable/disable parameter with expresso
