Hi,
I have a plane with a blackbody emission material as a lightsource.
And a octane object tag assigned to the plane.
I always get a shadow from that plane casted on the ground
even if I turn off "Shadow visibility" (Camera visibility works as it should)
Latest Version 3.05.1
Any idear?
thanks
Mike
shadow visibility does not work

Hi guys,
which kernel are you using?
Maybe is the Ambient Occlusion effect?
p.s. latest version is v3.05.3

Weird, here it seems to work as expected

Putting a scene would be great to show expectations and what that is not working. I can't see anything wrong here with shadow visibility. But as i can see there's a problem with general visibility. Plugin ignores that objects when "general_visibility=0". It's about some optimisation for generating less meshes for case but this is not fine for emissive geometries.

Hi Ahmet,
thanks for your feedback!
" It's about some optimisation for generating less meshes for case but this is not fine for emissive geometries."
So what does this mean in my case?
I do need to find another solution to get rid of these shadows?
Because I need the reflections of that lightplanes on the object, but
not the shadows on the floor.
Old problem: We really need lights include/exclude option!

Mike
