I'm trying to create a realistic looking mountain range with a ground plane. To begin with, i'm new to not only Octane but 3D in general. I'm assuming that what i'm trying to create shouldn't be too difficult but i'm not having much luck. I've downloaded various Octane texture packs and also texture images from some of the texture sites online but i'm wondering if anyone can direct me to some resources that can help me to create something more lifelike. None of the tutorials i've found have been of much use either. I've attached an image of some references i've pulled.

Hi RouseandFable,
did you see this series?
http://real-displacement-textures.com
there should be some free examples.
Another great resource is Megascan for this kind of stuff, I guess:

Bepeg4d so i've downloaded some of the textures from the sites you had recommended but wondering if you have any tips as to how to bring in the materials. There are a few files that come with the download but none of them make a significant difference when i add them. I can't seem to add anything in the displacement part of the material at all for some reason.

I've also heard people talk about polligon textures and having great results but not sure about a resource for them or if its an actual application.

Hi RouseandFable,
probably because I have shared only the c4d file without the textures. Please copy the file in the proper place or reconnect the textures with the Octane Texture Manager.
