problem with displacement in max and megascan

Hi guys i need help figuring out what im doing wrong...I have this displacement from megascans that i cant use it properly in max and octane.. please pics, the megascans one is SO MUCH detailed than the max version...any idea what could be the issue?

I thought that maybe if i was to plug the exr that came from megascan it would fix, but it seems that octane's displacement feature does not support exr or 32bit tiff (tried to convert exr to tif 32bit with photoshop, upon trying to load the tif max says cannot read file, but photoshop can.

when using the jpg supplied from megascans i get the result you see here and is far from the same thing!! Im using cm as system units and a plane of 2mx2m big to test this.

Please help me Im getting desperate here! .

I think octane displacement texture also has quality setting

Hi...yes it does and i set it at 4096 i also tried at 8192 even though i was using 4k maps..but i couldnt see any considerable improvement.
