Hi,

The offset does not seams to work at all since I changed tom V3.
In V2 it worked just fine.

Can someone confirm that?

Right, I confirm.

In fact since V3, Octane Core doesn't have an offset attribute in the displacement node.
It has been replaced by a mid level attribute. (working differently)

But JimStar aparently forgot to update the displacement node in the plugin.

The issue has already been fixed yesterday. :)

hey mickyboys, :)

You can find offset in OctaneDisplacementNode. Here's a screenshot :

Hi,

There seems to be a miss-understanding.
I know where it is and what is should do, but is does not!
Therefore, I reported that the offset does not work at all.

So, my question, do you have a solution?

Hey Bikram this issue is not solved,

As I already explained in the tread,
the offset attribute doesn't work because OctaneV3 Core doesn't have an offset attribute anymore in the displacement node.
It has been replaced by a mid level attribute. (working differently)

And JimStar forgot to update the displacement node in the plugin with the new mid level attribute.

Hi,

OK, get you there.
Is someone working on that update -?
I cannot start to move geometry based on individual heights of the displacement.

Oh ok I understand now why Bikram was confused ,
indeed JimStar already updated the displacement node but he did it completely wrong :D

the Mid-level attribute is supposed to replace the Offset attribute not the Level of detail.
Anyway, the displacement node is still broken.
