Thanks for update! :D But i see that the Octane Maya auto covert mat is not working like before, in my test it seems to not reference the locations correctly missing dashes in the file locations. you can manually add dashes but a bit of work is require. a fix or help would been awesome.

Is there any documentation on the new features in the Maya plugin?
For example; I do not know how to assign an octane shader to a fluid, or how to build fog ...
For users who do not use the standalone, it would be very interesting to have some documentation on how Octane works in Maya.

For fluids pretty simple...here a screen attach. So far I love the way is setup now simple and straight forward, I guess for the fog to option attach on the "Octane Options" also for the Sunsky is a medium option to. :D

But sometimes I have a offset on transform and a bit hard to get the scale...I'm still looking at

Hi Guys,

Here the strange offset on the file with Fluids, Also I'm struggle to get the same amount of details as the Maya fluid on Octane I don't know if is the step? or the rescale scene, I know is not easy but would be great to recognize the scene scale on the render setting and compensate then.

I attach a screen and the Maya scene this the default Nuke my scene included in Maya. I may doing something complete wrong so please advises?

Best,
JO

Hi!

Very nice update! It works very well and I'm very happy how it's integrated. :D

However, I'm wondering if you've planed to optimize how the refreshing work. For instance If I use a very heavy geometry scene, and that I just move the light, it reloads everything and take 10/15 seconds to see the result. I know that the plugin for lightwave is a bit better for that.

Cheers!

Indeed!!! This has always been an issue with Maya viewport updating. Even just updating the render image at my final resolution of 8500px takes 5-10 seconds of Maya being completely frozen to update the viewport image to the new sample level. I know this is more of an issue to figure out later, but I too wonder if there is a way to alleviate the slow viewport updating.

Also, how are these in terms of bugginess and features at this point? are all octane features functioning now and it's just smaller bugs? no game breakers?
