It looks like when setting transmission to 1.0 in a diffuse material light does not "refract" properly and results in a dark material. Specular material transmission has this issue as well.

This seems to have happened in version 3.04.3 as 3.04.0 does not have this issue. I reset octane sops, shops, and render nodes between switching versions, but maybe I'm missing something.

Thanks Juanjo and the rest of the team.

Hi,

Sorry, I think that I can't reproduce this problem here. Can you attach a sample scene with this issue?

Thanks,

Yes, this problem was introduced with 3.04.1 and will be fixed with 3.04.4 which is being built right now.

Sorry, I should have included a sample scene. But I think I can wait for 3.04.4. :)

Thanks for the quick reply guys.

Yes, this problem seems fixed in the new Octane build. I'll try to release a new plugin build ASAP.

Hi, I think this might be the same bug but just in case:
I'm having different results with hair transmission from previous builds.

Thanks
