Also, if you have one target plugged into your batch render job and then copy and paste that render target, can that new target get automatically plugged into the render job?
this would be pretty cool to have a check box selection or button to make the connections for you upon click. Less looking around and dragging.

I just tried using it on a project where we had about 40 render targets to see how it works and it was a pain. Not to mention accidentally unplugging things while you are doing it.

We will be fixing the batch render script, but would like to phase them out in the future.

Regarding the render job graphs: There are two options. The first one would be add something like a render job group node and add the possibility to render that one or the second option would be to list all render job graphs in the render dialog and allow the user to pick the ones that should be rendered. What do you prefer?

Regarding the output directories: We will store the last settings of the render dialog in the project and plan to add an output directory input to the render job graphs and maybe provide a way to let the user overwrite the output directory via the render dialog. Would that make sense?

hello Abstrax! when you say "Fixed bump and normal mapping on displacement triangles." you mean this?

I think a combination of things might be the answer.

a master render node where all render job nodes connect as I have mentioned before. this way for different frame ranges and other parameters can be set in different nodes, but one click runs them all. in addition to this... for this to work well, the destination directory should be handled per node (a filename node with the ability to connect it to multiples would be awesome)

next, a picker in the render job node (not in a popup dialogue).. this way the setting can be saved permanently (furthermore, making this roll-able if possible, in other words, click a plus or arrow and it rolls the section up in one so that its not an extra long list in your face all of the time.

In my opinion the first option is nice and simple, and has the advantage to keep the history for the batch of render script jobs in the form of a group node.

But I think we'll see soon other limitations:
Unlike the second option we don't need a dialog before rendering,
but a job queue monitoring window while rendering, with the option to stop a job or add a new one, or reorder the queue.

So my preferred option is the first one,
but extendable in the future with a way to monitor and modify the job queue while rendering.

Yes that's the kind of artefacts you would see. Is this working properly in the new release?

Hi Roeland, I took this screenshot from the latest version of the cinema 4D plugin which is 3.04.1 without the b and the issue is still there but I just test it in the standalone version and it's working just fine.

-- EDIT --
I actually went and re-downloaded the latest version C4D plugin and the problem seems to be fixed, this is great!.

Could you try it in 3.04.3 again? And if it still doesn't work, send me/post an example scene so that we can investigate. I did some quick tests but didn't see any issues with the dirt texture. Thanks.
