Hello all,

I am getting an invalid version error when trying to network render within Cinema 4d. When I run the OctaneRender it detects the gpus just fine and activates the slave. I then open Cinema 4D and click network rendering and it gives me the error. I have verified that I am running Octane Render 3.04 on both machines. I have also checked that the plugin are exactly the same in the Live Viewer; 3.03.4-r3.

From what I can see everything lines up exactly, however the error persists. This has been somewhat annoying since we really need the network rendering for a big project. Any help would be great!

Thanks.

3.04 is not equal to 3.03.4. You need version 3.04 for plugin.

Alright, sorry I didn't gather that from other posts but yeah that did the trick. Thanks!

Also one other question with Network Rendering, does it work with Picture Viewer, or the Render queue? Is there any way to verify that it is being used for either one? Thanks!

Hi rescue1studios
in Render settings Octane render / Main tb, you can find the network rendering settings for Picture Viewer and it works also for Render Queue:

In Picture Viewer you can see a second info line text about net rendering status in the lower left corner:
