Running into some stereo render issues....
Info:
Octane 3.03.4
Octane 3.03.3 R1 for C4D installed on R13
GTX1080 / 6900k / 64GB Ram / etc etc
When I render the scene in cube map, spherical, all is fine, including ALL stereo output options (except over/under) and the scene takes approx 360MB.
When I select over/under I get a pretty instant render failure whenever I try to output any size, tried 1000x500 and 3000x1500 and neither worked (slowly working my way up).
Ideas?
*edit* Crash report included.
Over/Under Stereo very low geo limits?

Hi, There's been a bug fixed in the latest version (3.04 viewtopic.php?f=24&t=56856) which is causing this crash.
There's a test version of the plugin supporting this Octane version if you feel like testing it.

I have yet to see any builds labeled stable not have issues with at least one of the VR cameras.
Updated to the version you posted, now spherical is crashing as well. Is there a version that is known to actually... work?
This is live in production because I need VR stereo. A build that is KNOWN stable would be appreciated.
Crash report attached.
Octane log added.

TEST build is fine actually. Can you share a scene or orbx export from related frame? So we can try that here!

Excuse me for the confusion as the current test version of the plugin is still based in 3.03.4, so the bug I mentioned is not fixed there yet.
However, this bug is just showing up when the "Swap eyes" option is selected, which I am not sure it is your case.
As @aoktar mentioned, it would help if you could share a test scene to reproduce this issue.
Thank you.

Seems as if maxwell powered machines dont have this issue.... Or that Im running R13....
*edit* Full reinstall of octane and standalone with current test builds appears to have fixed it? Frames are writing now so I guess thats progress!
*edit2* Ok, so top/bottom still hard fails... Spherical is outputting though, so looks like we're going with spherical.

I tried your scene and it renders fine on a 1080 in the plugin of version 3.03.4-R3. When switch to the camera object "Camera 1" it still works fine. When I enable "over/under" stereo it fails when "swap eyes" is enabled, which is the bug Arturo was talking about initially and which is fixed in 3.04. Disabling this option makes it work correctly.Alacrious wrote:Message with link to project incoming.
