Man I love those =) especially first shot.

Mind if I as k a question? so You simply mapped those on geometry & scattered around? or is there anything else involved into recipy of good looks? =)

Thanks Tom! In all honesty, it's just mapped onto geometry. Some of the assets like logs, rocks, and twigs come with 3d assets. I keep my Octane materials pretty simple. I almost never use mix materials. There might be a tweak in gamma here and there. HDR environments and lighting are what really does it for me though. The moss looked pretty average until I put a Peter Guthrie HDR on it and rotated it just right. I guess good lighting can make really mundane stuff look amazing.
