Some things I've been working on with Megascans in Octane via Modo.

Thanks Tom! In all honesty, it's just mapped onto geometry. Some of the assets like logs, rocks, and twigs come with 3d assets. I keep my Octane materials pretty simple. I almost never use mix materials. There might be a tweak in gamma here and there. HDR environments and lighting are what really does it for me though. The moss looked pretty average until I put a Peter Guthrie HDR on it and rotated it just right. I guess good lighting can make really mundane stuff look amazing.
