Brecht could be The right guy for improving the export time from Blender !
It would be great !

French Blender user - CPU : intel Quad QX9650 at 3GHz - 8GB of RAM - Windows 7 Pro 64 bits. Display GPU : GeForce GTX 480 (2 Samsung 2443BW-1920x1600 monitors). External GPUs : two EVGA GTX 580 3GB in a Cubix GPU-Xpander Pro 2. NVidia Driver : 368.22.
My 3D-projects have been on hold, as I have been waiting for three major things:tungee wrote:You can be sure that blender will be supported much more by Octane with Brecht!
Would be nice to see some Blender to Octane hair and particle renderings
1) Octane MLT rendering - without it, rendering some scenes takes forever...
2) Light sources. The first 3D software I used was Lightwave 3D around year 1995, so I learned to do many things with light and shadows, not polygons.
3) Blender 2.5 exporter. The new Blender is vastly better than the old versions.
Yeah, I hope Brecht can really bring life to 3D workflow with Blender 2.5 and Octane 1.0!
