Will the Maya plugin also support Phoenix FD ?
This is a possibility, but we want to ensure that we also have shader info, and I'm not sure at this point if .aur would include that info.gardeler wrote:How about supporting reading .aur files directly in octane stand alone? (phoenix volume format.) it should be accessable and "open" according to chaosgroup.
It would be for octane SA so that we did not need to convert from aur to vdb. *which is not yet possible, so right now it is impossible to use octane standalone with phoenixFD...haze wrote:This is a possibility, but we want to ensure that we also have shader info, and I'm not sure at this point if .aur would include that info.gardeler wrote:How about supporting reading .aur files directly in octane stand alone? Good news Haze.
All fingers crossed for the upcoming Maya beta.
I had a confirmation from a Phoenix FD developper that they are working on an Octane integration
