Hi. I´m using the render queue for a big render, but I´d like to keep working while it renders, so I want only one of my two cards (980ti) to be used by octane, but no matter what I input in the settings/devides tab, it´s using both cards at maximum speed and thus the computer is unusable. As you´ll see in my screenshot, bot cards appear with a 95% load. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Hi rafaelvamp,
I have just checked with my system and all works as expected in both PV and Batch render.
Are you sure to have not ticked the Use all GPUs option in the general Octane Render settings? ciao beppe

Oh, I didn´t know that overwrote the settings on the settings tab. My bad. So, what is the difference between doing it in one place or the other?bepeg4d wrote:Hi rafaelvamp,

Thanks for your help

Hi rafaelvamp,
In general, you can disable some GPUs while working, but you can also have a particular render setting that always work with all the GPUs, with this option active.
It depends from the personal workflow.

Hi. I´m bumping the topic because I checked with a new scene, where I´m not using the USE ALL GPUS option, and still the priority, and gpu switches have no effect. See the attached screenshot, and you´ll see that even though it´s set to low and one gpu is disabled, both are being used at 100%. ANy ideas?
Thanks
Thanks
That's weird
look at this screenshots: here is working as expected
