For some reason I can't get my network render to stay active. Anytime I minimize C4D, or switch between projects I have to reactivate it. It's driving me insane. I work a lot between C4D and AE and I'd think there'd be a way to make it active ALL of the time when you start C4D?

It looks like I'm using Plug-in Version 3.03.3-R1 and I am running windows 10. Also when I have network render on....I'm only seeing the stats for the 1 GPU that's in this computer.

How do you know that's not staying? What you see on LV and slave's console?

I know because when I switch back over my renders are taking longer...so then I open the network render preferences to check and find out that they are not active anymore.

See Pics (sorry for the sharpness and lines)
I turn on Network Render

So then my slave looks like this.
So then my slave looks like this.
After a bit I notice my renders slower. I look into network rendering and this is what it looks like.

And this is what my slave window is saying.

You can check slaves from LV info or PV info lines too.
Here is see a message: "unexpected response format". Don't know what's that but maybe reason to lost connection.

I'm not sure what LV info or PV info is. I'm sorry I just bought Octane Tuesday and am VERY new to it.

Got it thanks. Even when network render is on I don't get the specs about the GPU in the other computer on my screen like you do. Also, when net work render is on I DO get the Slave 1/1 visual....but that goes away when the network render loses connection. obviously.

Hi HuttonMiller3D,
I have tried to reproduce your issue without success, but I don't have AE, sorry.
I have tried by hiding c4dOctane during net rendering and working in PS in forrground, but I have no issue nor with Master nor with slaves.
Are you sure that when you switch to AE, it takes all the CUDA power living c4dOctane in background?
In the mean time, you could try to enable the logging as described in this post:
